At Beloved Academy, we proudly follow the South African CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) curriculum. Our structured, phase-based approach ensures that every learner builds a solid academic foundation before progressing to the next level.
We currently offer education across three phases: the Foundation Phase (Grades 1-3), the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4-6), and the Senior Phase entry point at Grade 7. Each phase is carefully designed to develop learners academically, socially and spiritually.
CAPS Aligned
Our curriculum meets the full requirements of the South African Department of Basic Education's CAPS framework, ensuring national recognition and a pathway to further education.
School-Based Assessment
Ongoing formative assessments, portfolios and term-based examinations give learners and parents a clear picture of progress throughout the year.

Foundation Phase

How We Assess Progress
We use a balanced combination of continuous school-based assessment (SBA) and formal examinations aligned to the CAPS guidelines. Parents receive written reports each term, and Parent-Educator evenings are held to discuss learner progress in detail.
Term Reports
Written reports at the end of each term detailing academic progress across all subjects.
Portfolio Work
Ongoing classroom tasks, projects and assignments form part of the School-Based Assessment.
Parent Evenings
Regular face-to-face meetings with educators to discuss your child's growth and any support needed.
